Planning Essentials

Spaces available

Como offers breathtaking backdrops for your wedding, ranging from magnificent gardens, the historic Ballroom, the modern Pavilion and the exclusive garden marquee.

Most ceremonies and receptions are held in the gardens. We offer the Ballroom as a wet weather option for couples having just their ceremony at the property.

A small reception can be held in the Ballroom for up to 60 people dinner-style, or 120 for a cocktail reception.

Wedding planners

Como has a dedicated weddings and events coordinator to assist with your booking.


We have a range of recommended, experienced local suppliers that have worked at Como. You are free to choose your own suppliers.

Timing and restrictions

Weddings can be held between 9am and 11pm.

Curfews & other restrictions

Como House can only hold eight large functions per year.

  • All guests must be vacated from the gardens by 6pm.
  • Noise levels must be kept to EPA guidelines. Live and amplified music should cease by 11:30pm.

The property is to be left as it was found.


Access to the site for the purpose of event set-up/pack-up is via service entry on Lechlade Avenue and Como Avenue by arrangement, between the hours of 10am and midnight. This is limited to those vehicles required for set up/pack down. No other cars or taxis are permitted on site at any time. Unless they carry a disabled guest.


The Ballroom is approximately 7.8m x 11.5m.


We have Public Liability that insures for the hire of our property and its contents. Individual suppliers need to have their own.
