Overnewton Castle

Overnewton Castle is believed to be the only original Scottish Baronial castle in Australia available for weddings — a claim that is hard to argue when you arrive at the bluestone turrets rising above four acres of manicured English gardens in Keilor. Built in 1849 by pastoralist William Taylor, the heritage-listed estate sits quietly on the city's northwestern fringe, a world removed from Melbourne despite being less than half an hour from the CBD.
